Classification surveys and audits are conducted at Class/Flag Societies to assess and confirm the vessel's structural integrity, machinery, and safety systems from class and international organizations.

Scope of Work

Coordination and management of class surveys and audits with major international societies.

CLASS SURVEY  

Annual Survey

  • General condition of hull, machinery, and equipment.

  • Verification of certificates and records.

Intermediate Survey

  • Partial examination of hull and machinery.

  • More detailed than annual survey, including ballast tanks and critical areas.

Special Survey

  • Complete inspection of hull, machinery, boilers, shafting, etc.

  • Dry docking required for underwater parts.

  • Renewal of class certificates.

Bottom Survey / Dry Docking Inspection

  • Inspection of hull plating, sea valves, rudder, and propeller.

  • Can be underwater or in dry dock.

Occasional/Unscheduled Survey

  • Required after incidents (grounding, collision, fire, major repair).

  • Focused inspection of affected areas for class reinstatement or retention.

    DOC (Document of Compliance) Audit – for the company/shore office. SMC (Safety Management Certificate) - Scope includes:

    • Review of Safety Management System (SMS) implementation.

    • Evidence of corrective actions, training, drills, and reporting procedures.
